  • Superb build quality for the class, weather-sealed body, Efficient image stabilization (not as good as Pentax claims though), Top LCD (but no backlight), Largest and brightest viewfinder in its class, Reliable flash exposure, Wireless flash, Intuitive men...

  • Excellent build. Superb images. Built-in shake reduction. Unique dust removal system. Very low power consumption.
  • FlashMmust be raised manually. Continuous shooting at 2.8 frames per second is limited to four photos until buffer clears.
  • The Pentax K200D can be used with confidence right out of the box by novice and advanced photographers alike. And it won’t need to be replaced for a long time—the highest compliment a DSLR can earn....

  • Tough and weatherproof body, Built-in Shake Reduction, Convenient AA battery power, Broad degree of customisation.
  • No Live View facilities, Anti-shake not as effective as rivals, Disappointing continuous shooting, Tendency to underexpose.
  • Support this site by price checking below The K200D’s strengths and weaknesses against the competition are pretty consistent from the comparisons above. For the same money or a little less you could buy a lighter DSLR with Live View facilities and e...

  • Build, image quality, features, low noise
  • Speed, kit lens AF, easily scratched shell, tight SD slot
  • I really enjoyed using the K200D. It is logical to handle and its build quality means I’d be happy to use it in harsher conditions. The images I got from the camera also were very pleasing, especially considering previous exposure problems with othe...
