  • Coming back to my CPU cooler evaluation criteria I proposed in the introduction, will the Scythe Mugen 5 make me a satisfied customer? Or in other words, do I like this product? My answer is simply "Yes." First, the overall design is well thought out. The...

  • Excellent design and aesthetics, Amazing performance in both temperature and particularly noise control, Takes the best of prior Mugen 5 releases, improves it in areas, and compacts it all into a smaller design, High-end performance for a mid-range budget
  • Isn't provided with a manual RGB controller, Neutral, None, Scythe Mugen 5 Black (SCMG-5100BK) RGB Edition Review
  • The Scythe Mugen 5 (regardless of which version you can pick) has always proven to be an excellent option for those looking for high-end performance on a mid-range budget. No, it doesn't perform as well as some of the biggest names, but then again as show...

  • Impressive performance in temperatures and particularly noise, Excellent value for money, Strong aesthetics whether the RGB is on or off, Another excellent product building up the Scythe reputation,
  • The exterior packaging is simply awful. Limited information, provided badly, and no clear picture of the cooler, Neutral, Limited brand exposure might limit supply at your preferred retailer, Scythe Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance (SCMG-5100TUF) Review,
  • PriceAt the time of writing, we do not have a confirmed price for the Scythe Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance. Based on indications of the former (non-RGB) model, however, we would expect this to retail for a price in the region of £50. This, in comparative te...

  • Abstract:  Today, we have the Scythe Mugen 5 CPU Cooler on our test bench. Following on from the Scythe Kabuto 3, it will be interesting to see how a more normal style cooler performs VS the top-down offering in the Kabuto 3. For those who are unfamiliar with them...

  • Relatively good performance across the board, Nice, simple and clean aesthetic, Performs the same as an NZXT Kraken X42 AIO CPU Cooler (at double the price), Handles an overclocked Intel Core i7-7700K processor no problems, Not as big as some top end tow
  • I just personally don't like the colour choice on the fan (my opinion of course)
