The editors liked

  • The other great thing about the screen is that it uses Sony's own Triluminos technology
  • Which is used in its TVs as well
  • Sony devices have always been known to look good
  • And the Z Ultra is no exception it has a beautiful unibody design that is not only solid
  • But very classy looking as well

The editors didn't like

  • Video quality is let down by the poor audio
  • Which comes only from a small speaker at the base of the device.
  • We were disappointed with the picture quality
  • As it was very grainy especially under low light conditions. Another drawback is that the device is not equipped with an LED flash.

  • Abstract:  Only two years ago, when Samsung started a new trend of producing smartphones with big screens with the Note model, everybody thought that nobody wanted to use a phone that big and that concept doesn't have any sense. Today, smartphones with big screens a...

  • Abstract:  These identical twins, separated at birth and raised by different parents at opposite ends of the world, look similar on the outside and have essentially the same makeup on the inside. But they can't escape their upbringings, and Sony's Xperia Z Ultra off...

  • Big, beautiful 1080p display. Slim, refined design. Runs stock Android 4.4. Fast Snapdragon 800 processor. Incredible battery life. Waterproof.
  • Enormous. Average camera. Lacks software to take advantage of screen real estate
  • The Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition puts stock Android on one of the most absurdly big, but undeniably beautiful and powerful smartphones around....

  • The Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition squeezes a stunningly bright, and colorful display, stock Android 4.4 KitKat, and a muscular processor into an extremely thin package. With sealed ports, the water-resistant Z Ultra needn't fear liquid or exposure to d
  • Even considering the Sony Z Ultra GPE's carrier-unsubsidized status, $649 is an exorbitant amount to pay. The Z Ultra's overblown size makes it unwieldy to operate and its camera is disappointing
  • The Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition's insanely large size and stratospheric price make the Nexus 5 and Note 3 better options for pure Android power.

  • It's crazy big. Odd dock connector location on the lefthand side. Like on the Xperia Z, the temperedglass front and rear panels are still huge fingerprint magnets. Grainy lowlight photos

  • Big, beautiful 1080p display. Slim, refined design. Fast Snapdragon 800 processor. Incredible battery life. Waterproof.
  • Enormous. Really, it's too big. Average camera. No multitasking
  • The well-built, beautiful Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the biggest, baddest Android smartphone you'll find, but at 6.4 inches, it takes things to such a ridiculous extreme that we're not even sure it actually qualifies as a phone....

  • High performance, Bright display, Thickness of the device, Build quality, Port variety, Expandable storage
  • Price, Operation with one hand can be difficult, Black value is too high, Non-removable battery
  • A very good result in our review The Sony Xperia Z Ultra.Sony delivers on its Big entertainment claim. The huge display is ideal to watch movies, browse the web or play games. All these activities are no problem for the high performance of the Z Ultra - t...
