The editors liked
The other great thing about the screen is that it uses Sony's own Triluminos technology
Which is used in its TVs as well
Sony devices have always been known to look good
And the Z Ultra is no exception it has a beautiful unibody design that is not only solid
But very classy looking as well
The editors didn't like
Video quality is let down by the poor audio
Which comes only from a small speaker at the base of the device.
We were disappointed with the picture quality
As it was very grainy especially under low light conditions. Another drawback is that the device is not equipped with an LED flash.
Impractically big, Mediocre camera + no flash, Ports under flaps

Abstract: Sponsored links, if any, appear in green. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra brought Sony into the realm of large-screen phones unlike any before it. Sony was no stranger to above average displays in its Xperia line, but most of the devices were still soundly in...
Huge size is more a burden than a bonus. Underdeveloped software takes no advantage of screen real estate or stylus features. Disappointing battery life for its class.
Abstract: The LG G2 has arrived, and it's obvious that the company's new flagship wants to be the baddest boy in town. As such, however, it has to prove that it can take on all the other bad boys in a series of intense tests. We've already published our review o...
Abstract: Battle of the titans gets an entirely new meaning when you pit the Sony Xperia Z Ultra against the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. There have never been phones before with screens that large, so we had to stake a cage match. In one corner is Sony's latest and ...

Some of the best performance numbers to date, The camera is passable, Water resistant and dust-proof, Great for gaming and video consumption, Charges very quickly
Extremely large for a smartphone, Mediocre display, Relatively poor battery life, Inconsistent touch responsiveness, Uncertain availability,
So where does that leave us, exactly? Well, we're torn. Our time with the Z Ultra was slightly sullied by what we believe to be a unit with a defective touchscreen. Yet as far as performance goes, there's quite literally nothing to complain about. Sure...
Abstract: There's no question about it – the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is one might impressive ‘smartphone', though some may consider the 6.4-inch display a tad too large. However, that doesn't stop the Z Ultra from being a really nice and slick device. One of the most im...
Vast and quality screen with pen/pencil input, Thinnest waterproof design, Record fast chipset
Larger than other 6inchers, uncomfortable to hold and carry, Camera lacks flash, could be better quality, Relatively weak and hollow earpiece sound
Sony's first phablet leans farthest to the tablet side of that made-up word than any competitor out there. If you aren't worried about pocketability or one-handed operation, you won't be disappointed by the rest. The Xperia Z Ultra is an engineering ma...
Abstract: Aaron reviews the Sony Xperia Z Ultra , a humongous version of the Xperia Z. Available internationally and unlocked through Negri Electronics, the Xperia Z Ultra features a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 6.44-inch 1080p HD display, 8-megapixel came...
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra does not look like a phone or a tablet. It looks like a piece of an age-less fashion accessory, a slim glass device that connects you wirelessly to the world. It also works surprisingly well despite its imposing size. I mean, there...
